Pregnancy test:
With our pregnancy test you can determine whether you are pregnant from day one after not having your period. You can pick it up at our practice and do the test at home.

Folic acid:
If you want to become pregnant or if you are pregnant, it is advisable to take folic acid

Taking folic acid (vitamine B11) is advisable from the moment that there is a desire to have children until after 10 weeks of pregnancy. This reduces the chance by 50-70% of having a child with spina bifida (neural tube defect). The chance of this occurring is small but after taking folic acid it is even smaller.

The recommended dose is 0,4 mg folic acid per day.
It is advisable to start taking it as soon as pregnancy is desired. At 10 weeks of pregnancy you can stop taking folic acid as the vertebrae have then been formed.

It can take some time to become pregnant. Even so it is advisable to continue taking folic acid tablets. It is completely safe to continue taking folic acid for a long period of time.
