Where
should you have the baby ?
When you have been pregnant for about 34 weeks, you will be given
a brochure about the delivery and the confinement. Read this through
and ask us if anything is not clear. In the course of the pregnancy
or sometimes even during childbirth you may determine how you want
to have the baby. If the pregnancy has been without complications,
home is a good and safe place to have your baby. If there are complications
during a home delivery we will refer you to a gynaecologist in good
time. Another option is a delivery in a polyclinic, a birthing room
in a hospital as it were, where we assist the childbirth. If there
are any complications we will refer you to the gynaecologist. Check
to see whether your health insurance covers a delivery in a polyclinic.
